We ran into the same problem with Josh. His bday was Sep. 15th and FIFA came out today. He got FIFA World Cup instead of FIFA 2010. I'm sure within the next few minutes, FIFA 2010 will make it to our home in one form or another.
You could of borrowed some money from him to buy the gift. So, an IOu isn't too bad!!!

I like the IOU idea. My kids seem to forget everything after about 30 seconds, so that would be ideal.
Speaking of IOU's, Taylor has about $200 worth in her piggy bank... for real. We never seem to have cash and she always does. We told her we pay good interest. Besides, we buy everything for her anyway.
